Beer X Recoat at OStreet

We're delighted to have been invited to be the next Beertimes at O Street. It's going to be a catch-up-celebration of all things Recoat. Hope you can come! RSVP here.

Since we closed our gallery in 2013 alot has changed and we've been pretty busy! Come see what we've been painting on, watch our film 'In Common', and have a gander at our shiny new website.

It's Beer Times as usual, so we'll be washing it all down with banter, music and beer. First one's on us then BYOB and on to the pub!

One-off small batch ale: Dead End Brew Machine.

Elliot Tupac x Recoat x Syrkus

In May 2015 Elliot Tupac, a world famous Peruvian artist travelled to the UK to take part in various mural projects and exhibitions. While in Glasgow he exhibited a beautiful exhibition at South Block and collaborated with us on a mural at a local school in Springburn. Elliot's text translates as 'Education with no boundaries- Working Together' and Syrkus painted a series of women from different cultures carrying objects to create a simple meal together. The mural celebrates the multi-cultural community that makes up the school and how hard everyone is working there to make it a success.
We're really proud of this project and how the mural worked as a whole. See all the photos here.

FiST x Recoat- Old Wynd Mural

In May 2015 we were commissioned by Glasgow City Council Regeneration Department to create a mural on the wall of McDonald's Bakery on Old Wynd just off Trongate in Glasgow.
We selected and collaborated with the hugely talented FiST on this large scale mural. We tried to create 'another world', something transformative and dreamy.
You can view all of the photos from the project here.

Mural at the Riverside Museum

The Riverside Museum (The new Transport Museum) commissioned us to create a drawing mural on their entrance to celebrate the European Museum Awards this month. The drawing was meant to be for one night only but staff and visitors have enjoyed it so much they have decided to keep it up. Get yourself down to check it out. Museum is pretty ace and worth a visit anyway!

Progress at Turning Point

This year we are running a mural project with City of Glasgow College illustration students at Turning Point Glasgow's service for homeless people. Students have visited the centre, met with staff and service users and then created designs for selection. 4 lucky students had their designs selected and as a class we started painting the murals this month.
